College Athletes Conquer Leinster!

Our track and Field athletes have been very busy over the past few weeks with both the South Leinster and Leinster Track & Field Championships taking place. 

Below is a list of our medal winners in the various events and also those who have qualified to compete at this year’s All-Ireland’s. Very well done to all and best of luck to those who are competing in the nationals.

 

South Leinster Track & Field
Under 14 Boys Relay – 1st place, Newbridge College, Johnny Deane, Daithi Murphy, Kevin Kyne, Cian Murphy, Luke Morris.
Under 17 Girls, 200m Girls Individual – 1st place, Katie Berney
Under 17 Boys, 100m Hurdles Individual – 1st place, Charlie Dardis
400m Hurdles Individual – 3rd place, Charlie Dardis
Relay – 2nd place, Newbridge College, Niall Wyer, Ruari Cleary, Kevin Dunphy, Michael O’Brien
800m Individual – 3rd place Cian Crowe
Javelin, Individual – 1st place, Michael Jordan, 2nd place, Thomas Dore.
Under 14 Girls Relay – 3rd place, Newbridge College, Aimee McGrath, Sorcha Gillman, Gemma Cox, Emily O’Brien.
500m Individual – 2nd place, Aimee McGrath
Under 14 Boys, 800m Individual – 2nd place, Oisin O’Cuill
Senior Boys, Javelin Individual – 2nd place, Conor Doyle

Leinster Track & Field
Under 14 Boys Relay – 1st place, Newbridge College, names above.
800m Individual – 2nd place, Oisin O’Cuill
Under 17 Girls 200m Individual – 1st place, Katie Berney.
Under 17 Boys Javelin Individual – 3rd place, Michael Jordan
Under 17 Boys 4 x 100m Relay – 2nd place, Newbridge College, Niall Wyer, Ruairi Cleary, Kevin Dunphy, Michael O Brien.

The above teams and individuals go forward to the All Ireland Schools Finals, Saturday, 1st June
