Message from PSA re Fee Paying Schools
As you know, the Government
has in recent years implemented a programme of cuts to fee-charging schools in
the form of an increase in the pupil teacher ratio from 19:1 to 23:1.
The key focus on this issue for Budget 2015 is to seek a reduction in the pupil
teacher ratio in fee-charging schools to 21:1 from the current unsustainable
rate of 23:1.
We feel there is a critical opportunity for parents and teachers to influence
their representatives, and inform those who may not currently understand the
challenges our schools are facing.
Accordingly, attached is a
letter from the Principal and the PSA
which we would like you to read.
We urge you to visit the dedicated website at
www.fairfunding.ie and take a
minute or two to send an email to your local politicians flagging this as an
issue of importance for you.
Thank you for your support in this issue.
