Two past pupils of Newbridge College, Jill Mc Ternan and Roberta Ruttledge (2012), have been awarded the prestigious Foundation Scholarship Award at Trinity College Dublin.
The award, which is announced on Trinity Monday from the steps of the Exam Hall in Front Square, is a long standing tradition in Trinity and rewards the top scoring academic students of the college community. The scholarship lasts five years and provides the girls with on-campus accommodation, an annual salary, a three-course meal every night in the Dining Hall in Trinity and their registration fees, all paid for by the University. To achieve this, Jill and Roberta sat scholarship exams in January in their respective courses, Dentistry and Occupational Therapy.
