A great result for Newbridge Equestrian Club again this week. The team of  Karen Casey, Luke Hefferan, Sarah Behan and Hannah Sutton won the showjumping competition held in Ross House in Cavan on Saturday 8th.  Karen Casey and Hannah Sutton rode in the jump off each scoring fast times with 0 faults meaning we beat Ballymahon School who had won in Mullingar a month ago giving Newbridge second place.

Newbridge is now the highest placed school in the league and we will be entering the Championship next month on maximum scores.

Karen Casey came 5th in the Individual Competiton on Saturday in Ross House, Cavan and she also came 2nd on Sunday the 9th in Claregalway.   Karen is now leading the Individual League Competition by 8 points.

Huge congratulations to past pupil Louise Quinn who was named FAI International Senior Women’s Player of the Year recently.  Louise played football for our school team guiding them to a Midlands League title during her time here and was also capped at both underage and senior level for Ireland.
