Hard luck to our Junior Cup team who lost the quarter final of the Leinster Junior Cup to a fine Terenure College side.
When facing one of the top Dublin schools in this competition, you need two things to happen: Them to have an off day and everything to go right for you and unfortunately neither of these happened. We battled well throughout, refusing to give up the fight and were rewarded with a consolation try that definitely took the plaudits for try of the game. Matthew Madigan raced clear from inside his own half to score his under the posts and then knock over the conversion. The discipline of our boys had also to be admired and they were a credit to the school thoughout. Final score Newbridge 7 Terenure 46.
