Congratulations to Katie Berney who won the U16 200m Leinster Championships

and in the process set a new Leinster record, beating the old record by 1.5 seconds. Well done to Ruairi Cleary, Michael O’Brien, Niall Wyer and Kevin Dunphy who are the new U15 4 x 100m Leinster Champions and to Kevin Kyne, Luke Morris, David Murphy and Jonny Deane who are U14 Leinster Champions; Kevin Kyne also came 2nd in the 80m final.  The U15 relay team now go on to the All-Ireland Competition in a few weeks time.  A big thank you to Mr Mangan for all his work in the preparation of these teams.  Best of luck to our remaining athletes who take part in the Day 2 of the Leinster Championships this coming weekend.

Congratulations also to all the athletes on their performances at the South Leinsters track and field Championships in Kilkenny over the last two weeks.  In all, we won three of the relay races and had six individual golds too.  In addition to this, there were 7 more silvers and 10 more bronze to give us a total medal haul of 29 at this year’s event. 
Here are our medal winning performances this year:
U17 Boys 4 x 100m relay – 1st – Kevin Kyne, Niall Delahunt, Tom Brady, Jake Howlett.
U15 Boys 4 x 100m relay – 1st - Niall Wyer, Ruairi Cleary, Kevin Dunphy, Michael O'Brien
U14 Boys 4 x 100m relay – 1st – David Murphy, Kevin Kyne, Jonathan Deane and Luke Morris (who set a new track record as they left the competition trailing in their wake)
U16 boys 4 x 300m relay – 2nd – Cian Crowe, James Healy, Tom Dore, Will McDonald.

In the individual events we also had some fine performances:
There were Gold medals for:
Katie Berney U16 200m and Bronze in U17 100m
Michael Healion U17 3000m
Kevin Kyne U14 Long Jump and Silver in U14 80m.
Kevin Dunphy U15 100m
Ruairi Cleary U15 High Jump and Silver in the U15 200m.
Caoimhe Murphy U15 800m

There were further Silver medals for: 
Paddy Kyne U17 Long Jump and Bronze in U17 100m
And further Bronze medals for:
Tom Dore in U19 Javelin
Charlie Dardis in U17 110m and 400m Hurdles
Conor Doyle in Shot Putt
Michael Jordan in U17 Javelin.
Amy Downes in U19 100m
Cian O Sullivan U19 boys Steeplechase
Ciara Kiely U14 girls 75m hurdles.

Gaelic Football
Congratulations to the Senior Gaelic Team on winning the Senior Gaelic Blitz!  The other participating schools were Clongowes, Blackrock and Castleknock.

Soccer
1st / 2nd Year Soccer League.  Well done to Maher’s Bars on winning the 2012 Soccer League Final .Hard luck to Henry’s Heroes who were runners up. The final score was 2-1.
