Well done to the College Traditional Music Group ‘Spiorad’ who travelled to
Limerick to compete in the 2nd round of the Siansa Gael Linn Music Competition. 32 groups are left in the competition out of which 8 will be chosen to play in the National Concert Hall in Dublin on Sunday 29th April.
The competition comprises of a 10-12 minute continuous programme of music and song. The group performed extremely well on the day, doing themselves and the school proud. The group members are Bronagh Leahy (Concertina), Rob O’ Neill (Tin Whistle), Orlaith Sherry (Fiddle), Niamh Leahy (Fiddle), David Breen (Flute), Joseph O’ Hara (Tin Whistle), Louis Younge (Fiddle) and Joseph Keane (Accordion).
