Gúna Nua Theatre Company
Ruthie Edgeworth (2006) is working in a theatre company in Dublin called Gúna Nua and their next production, The Goddess of Liberty, is opening this Thursday, February 2nd.
It tells the story of four emigrants who have fled to gold-rush Alaska in search of a more prosperous life. The show resonates with modern day themes of emigration and economic meltdown. As the story progresses secrets and surprises are revealed that test the friendship that has kindled between this unlikely group. The cast features Geraldine Plunkett who is famous for her role as Mary in the popular show Glenroe as well as Emma Colohan and Maire Ni Ghrainne.
The Goddess of Liberty runs in the Project Arts Centre every night at 8pm from February 2nd to 18th with a matinee on Saturday February 18th at 3pm. We wish Ruthie, and all the cast, every success.
