Fr Larry Kelly OP has returned to the staff of the College. A Past Pupil and past member of staff, he last worked in the College in 1992. At the beginning of 1993 he joined the Irish Dominican mission in South America. For most of the time since, he has worked in Argentina, Venezuela and more recently in Uruguay. His areas of pastoral work included small Christian communities, school and college chaplaincy, social/pastoral outreaches, and parishes.
Back in Newbridge, Fr Larry is now a member of the Dominican Community and is Chaplain in the College. Also living in the Dominican Community at present are Fr Raymond O’Donovan OP, a former member of the teaching staff; Fr Edmund Murphy OP; Fr Brian Reynolds OP who is at present a Curate in the Parish of Newbridge; Fr Thomas Mc Carthy OP who works in Dominican Publications, Dublin; and Fr Stephen Hutchinson OP whose father Sean, and uncles Timothy, Frank, Paddy and Matt were pupils in the College.
We wish Fr. Larry all the best in his new role as school chaplain.
