Sports Roundup 7th December

RUGBY
“SCT & JCT in Semi-finals”
Both our Senior and Junior teams play in League semi-finals this coming Wednesday.

The Senior’s take on King’s Hospital while the Junior’s are replaying their semi-final against Gonzaga on the same day.  So wishing them both much success.  Congratulations go to Senior captain James Tracy who played for the U19 Ireland team who beat Australia U19s 15 nil in Cork last week.  James and all of the lads played very well and were well deserving of the victory.

The Junior’s fought out a tough encounter against Gonzaga on Wednesday in difficult conditions for Junior rugby.  We led 3:0 at the half but Gonzaga pegged us back early in the second half with what was to be the last score of the game, The replay is eagerly awaited…

SOCCER
Very hard luck to our U19 Boys soccer team who were knocked out of the league at the semi-final stages.  Unbelievably we lead 4:0 after 20 minutes of the game and looked to be coasting to the final.  This was not to be the case as we conceded 6 goals in the remainder of the game in which our fitness seemed to be severely lacking.  Hard luck to all of the lads who played so well to get us this far.

EQUESTRIAN
