The Newbridge College senior girls basketball team enjoy a comprehensive victory

The Newbridge College senior girls basketball team enjoyed a comprehensive victory over the Colasite Lurgan, Castledermot in the quarter finals of the Midlands Division C League, on Monday the 19th of November.

Newbridge College had a quiet first half with Castledermot dominating the play with a fine performance from their point guard.  However Newbridge College came to life in the second half, stepping up their quality of play, producing an excellent display of defence which limited Castledermot’s scoring ability.  The entire team played with great energy and enthusiasm giving a well earned victory to Newbridge College with a score of 32-23.  The semi-final takes place on Friday next in the College so very best of luck girls!
